What do we do exactly?
Who we are
The Aggie Icers are the women's marketing organization for the Texas A&M Ice Hockey Team! What does this mean? This means that we strive to support the hockey team by attending all games, organizing events, making buddy gifts, and selling merchandise. Not only do support the hockey team but we support each other. We do this through numerous social events and hangouts. The Aggie Icers are simply a huge group of friends who are able to bond over their love of hockey. We truly believe there is a place for everyone so we also have committees within the organization to get everyone involved!
what we do
​While most of our season centers around the hockey season, we also do a lot of things on our own as well! You can visit the committee tab to see more about exactly what we do, but here are a few things and what they mean.​

Profit Shares- these are usually held at restaurants and groups of Icers will get together and go to dinner, while raising money for the org, so it's a win-win!

Buddy Gifts- before home games each Icer is assigned to a hockey player and they will make a goody basket for them. This usually includes candy, a good luck note, and sometimes we'll even throw in a knock-knock joke!

Banquet- This is an end of year tradition where we all get to dress up and celebrate the hockey team for an amazing season!

Chuck-a-Puck- this is an intermission game we always host after the second period. Audience members are able to purchase pucks from us at our table before the game and then during the intermission, they essentially are able to "chuck" it onto the ice and win a prize!

Q: We have a hockey team?
A: Yes, it's possible to play hockey in Texas! In 2001, the Texas A&M Ice Hockey Team became an official Sports Club with the Department of Recreational Sports.

Q: Do the Aggie Icers play hockey?
A: Some of us do! But no, none of us are part of the hockey team.
​
Q: Do I need to know a lot about hockey?
A: Nope! Just be willing to learn.
​
Q: Do the Aggie Icers travel to away games?
A: Traveling to away games is not required but sometimes we will carpool to games in Texas.
​
Q: Do I have to know how to skate?
A: Nope! We only skate during socials and odds are someone will be able to show you the basics. We do walk on the ice during intermissions but we only ask people who are comfortable to do that.
